203: Leo’s Pattern: A Rich and Engaging Math Unit

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Based on the famous Fibonacci sequence, this activity helps students develop numbers sense as they work with addition and subtraction. Decimals and integers are easily incorporated, and estimation skills are honed. Proportional reasoning is a natural application of this activity. Problem-solving strategies can be taught, and students can even use algebra as a tool. Much of the work is self-correcting, too! Complete handout available.
